Off the Cut provides unique insight into a community of boaters living on the Kennet and Avon canal.
The film follows a family on their pedal powered boat as they embark on a journey in which their way of life, and that of the whole community, comes under threat.
Wendy Zakiewicz began making short films whilst living in Papua New Guinea.
She went on to study an MA in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths College and has since made several films that have been shown at festivals internationally.
Her films are observational in style and follow the stories of individuals to offer a social critique.
