Nine-year-old Iranian immigrant Kamron can’t seem to fit into the culture of early 90s Los Angeles, forcing him to wonder, is it the shoes?
Sahand Nikoukar is an Iranian/American filmmaker who was born in Berlin, Germany and moved to Southern California with his family at an early age.
He studied Film and Theater at UC Berkeley, and received an MFA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
His graduate thesis film, “The Magic Shoes,” is currently on the festival circuit and is the recipient of Best of Festival and Audience Choice at the Laguna Film Festival, Best Narrative Film at the Sundial Film Festival, Grand Festival Prize – Student Visionary at the Berkeley Video & Film Festival, and an Official Selection at TIFF Kids, Starz Denver, and many other international film festivals.
Sahand is currently an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern California while writing and developing his first feature film project.
